Logiera joins the Conference on Urban Freight Transport and Logistics in Brussels 16th to 17th Nov 2010

On November 16th to 17th, 2010, the European Commission and the Belgian Presidency will host a conference on urban freight transport and logistics in Brussels.

The conference will bring together high-level representatives from European institutions and from key stakeholder associations to debate on sustainable solutions to urban freight in the cities of Europe.

This event was foreseen in Action 19 (urban freight transport) of the Action Plan on Urban Mobility, as adopted by the European Commission on September 30th, 2009, and falls within the framework of the program of the Belgian Presidency to promote innovative and sustainable transport solutions for Europe.

The conference has been structured to cover several key aspects of urban freight transport and logistics, to be discussed in six thematic workshops. Logiera's Green City Logistics initiative complies with the key principles of EU's suggested model for Urban Mobility.
